Fussy-Cutting From Border Prints
I Wonder Why People Call Me a Perfectionist

I Wonder Why People Call Me a Perfectionist

Description

52″ x 57″

This fussy-cut sampler takes full advantage of the two different printed strips in one border print to make 12 basic quilt blocks. It shows how spectacular these blocks can look when fussy-cut. One of the blocks (third from the top, on the left) is a Double Star.

Each block has a kaleidoscopic or mirror image effect. So, with just three fabrics (the border print, the solid pink, and the solid maroon), I have created some very intricate designs for a sampler quilt, where the blocks really hang together. By fussy-cutting the pieces, the design from the border print at each point miters along the seam line for a mirror image effect.
